“YOU CAN BE A CHRISTOPHER”

If you could have picked your parents, what kind of Mom and Dad would you have chosen?

I. Look at the human parents God chose for his own Son.

A. He chose Mary to be Jesus’ mother. Luke 2:26-38

1. An ordinary girl (vs. 26-27)

2. “Highly favored” (vs. 28-30)

3. Open to God’s call (vs. 30-33)

4. Willing to say “Yes” (v 38)

B. He chose Joseph to be Jesus’ father. Matthew 1:18-24

1. A common working man (Matthew 13:55-56)

2. A righteous man (v. 19)

3. Open to God’s call (vs. 20-21)

4. Willing to say “Yes” (vs. 24)

C. Mary and Joseph were “Christ carriers”.

II. We are also are called to be “Christ carriers”.

A. Jesus lives in a variety of people.

B. Jesus wants to live in us.

C. Our world needs “Christ carriers”.
